chapter 12 (Jasbeer Kaur)

Fit Criteria
Fit criterion is a way to measure if the solution will satisfy the all functional and non-functional requirements for the product or not. It tells us about the behavior, response time, performance and lot more qualities of the product. It provides the description of the product which sets down the stakeholder’s intention for the product. The requirements have a benchmark which is the qualification of the requirement and tells the standard of the product that the product must meet.

Driving fit criteria
Description and rationale are supposed to be analyzed in order to find the appropriate fit criterion. The requirements are usually subjective, but the rationale gives more specific information about what is needed for the product. If you cannot measure the requirement then it is not considered a requirement.

Comments

  1. Scale of measurement
It is hardest part of testing a requirement and defining the appropriate measurement for the requirement. All that is required to do is to find a suitable scale.
    Non-functional requirements
Non-functional requirements is a quality that a product must have like look, usability and performance. Fit criterion is a measure of that quality. All non-functional requirements can be measure.
