Understanding the business problem and finding the solution:

Before starting a project, the project manager and his team should understand the problem properly to know the exact need and then they should start working on finding the solutions. In this way, their purpose of the work will be clear and then their efforts will be in the right direction.

Truth:

If you know that what need is then you will work for exactly that purpose. Your work objective will be clear, and you will strive to it. But if you do not know the purpose then you lose the focus and put efforts in the wrong direction. So, for the better results, one must understand the need of the customer.
